Games and Performances
Volunteers can play board games or other games with the elderly. They may also perform for the elderly as well.

Pet Therapy
  • Volunteers can assist the elderly to walk their pet dogs around the indoor compound.
  • Volunteers can teach the elderly to do 'Dog Training' by getting them to give instructions to the pet dogs to do exercises (such as jump through hula hoops).
  •
    Social and Educational Outings
Volunteers can help explain the social/educational outing for the coming activity so that they will know what they can expect. They should mingle and interact with the elderly first before they leave. During the outing, they should always take care of the elderly to establish further bonding; and also explain to them what is going on to enhance their mind processes.

    Topic Discussions
  • Primary and Secondary Students can share their school lifestyle such as ECA, CCA and International Exchange Programmes by having discussions and showing videos and photos. At the same time, the elderly can share their childhood and schooldays activities and what they studied too.

  • Tertiary Students can bring up newspaper topics to discuss with the elderly to keep them aware of the world's news and happenings.

  • Working Adults can share on their working life on what issues they face in their working life and how to cope with the stress. They may listen to the elderly views well.
  •
    Life Experience Sharing
  • Tertiary Students or working adults can have lively interactions with the elderly and get them to share about the different stages of life which they want to share with the youngsters such as success stories and failures.

  • Tertiary Students/Working Adults can also encourage the elderly to come out with poems to describe their life experiences.
